Life Groups Part 2

Ondray is back to finish up this two-part blog on Life Groups at Cross Culture. If you missed last week's, you can find it here.

Last week, I wrote a blog about Life Groups in hopes to provide a general understanding to everyone.  Today I am continuing the conversation with a more in depth look at why we do what we do here at Cross Culture.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Are you looking for a small group to connect without judgement?
  • Do you desire to connect with the Word of God and still connect with others through fellowship?

Whether you answered one or the other with a yes or no, you can rest assure by participating in a life group your life will never be the same.  Many of our groups meet in homes and are made up of people from all walks of life; married, single, old, young, etc.

Why do I need Life groups?

Simply put, we need one another. God made us that way. He designed us to be his personal agents to encourage, challenge and care for one another. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:34-35).

We want to encourage you to give the group you try a couple visits. Anytime you're trying something new, it may need to grow on you. It may take a couple of times to begin to feel like you're in the right place. At the same time, we want you to find a group that fits you. So don't be afraid to get a second opinion if you don't really feel good about the group you try.

Life Groups are scheduled to kick off next week, the week of February 11th.  The objective in our kick off of small groups is getting to know each other and having fellowship.

We are starting our new series on the book of Ephesians in the Bible.  This book is also referred to as one of the Prison Epistles which the Apostle Paul wrote while he was in prison.  Pastor JD Greear a well-known author referred to Ephesians as being a survival manual for Christians.  Don’t be intimidated if you have not studied this book before, our Life Group leaders will help walk you through the journey.

If you would like to be connected to a Life Group or have questions please contact me at Lifegroups@crossculturedenver.org

God bless you all,
